National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), pli konata kiel Liberty, estas neregistara organizo por la defendo de la homaj kaj civilaj rajtoj en Britio kaj Kimrio. El 2003, ĝia direktorino estas Shami Chakrabarti.[1]
Historio
[redakti | redakti fonton]Ĝi estis fondita en 1934, kaj estis ĝis unua prezidanto E. M. Forster (ĝis 1948[2]), kun A. P. Herbert kaj Kingsley Martin kiel vicprezidantoj. Fondintaj partneroj estis H. G. Wells, Vera Brittain, Clement Attlee, Rebecca West kaj Harold Laski.[3]
