La Reĝa Akademio de Drama Arto (angle The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, akronimo : RADA) en la distrikto Bloomsbury de Londono, estas konsiderita la plej prestiĝa teatra lernejo en la mondo.
Historio
[redakti | redakti fonton]La Akademio estis fondita en 1904 de Siro Herbert Beerbohm Terry, plej elstara ŝekspira produktanto. Kelkajn jarojn poste, la dramisto George Bernard Shaw aliĝis al la direktoraro, kiu en 1912 donacis la tantiemon de sia teatraĵo Pigmaliono al la Akademio kaj en 1950 testamentis al ĝi trionon de ĉiuj tantiemoj por siaj verkoj. Tiu heredo iĝis konata havi signifan ekonomian valoron por la lernejo, kun la produktado de la filmo My Fair Lady, kiu alportis multe da mono, same kiel la teatrajn produktadojn de la muzikalo kiu iĝis grandsukceso (1964) [1].
RADA estas precipe elektata lernejo ĉar ĝi allasas nur 32 studentojn ĉiun jaron al la Bakalaŭro programo de aktorado. Studentoj ne devas plenumi akademiajn sojlokondiĉojn sed pruvi taŭgecon kaj aktorkapablon en provprezentado. Krome, 35 studentoj aliĝas al ili ĉiujare por programoj por trejni reĝisorojn kaj aliajn teknikajn profesiojn en la teatra mondo.
